Disabled Artists Lead Collective Art Creation to Promote Inclusive Community
This "Moment of Gathering on the Mountain" event, in collaboration with the Hong Kong Arts for the Disabled Association, features Apple Tang, a disabled artist, in her work "Weaving the Peak in Your Eyes." Presenting the Peak Galleria landscape from her unique perspective, the event guides the public in a large-scale collective art creation, blending art with community spirit to create a boundary-crossing art experience.
The artwork, woven with simple lines and colorful rubber bands, transforms a flat painting into a giant art installation. Every visitor to the Peak Galleria can participate in the weaving, adding vibrant color to the "urban tapestry." As the event progresses, the painting will gradually be connected point by point by thousands of colorful threads, symbolizing the footprints and memories left by different visitors on the Peak, showcasing the power of community inclusion. This creation is not merely an artwork, but a collective memory of the Peak completed by each participant, allowing culture, art, and community spirit to intertwine.
The Peak Galleria collaborates with Camel, an 85-year-old local classic brand, to create an art installation that recreates the nostalgic Hong Kong atmosphere.
The Peak Galleria has partnered for the first time with Camel, a classic local brand, to create a nostalgic interactive art installation in the atrium on the first floor. Featuring a 1.5-meter-tall iconic Camel thermos with a glass liner and a range of classic products, the installation blends nostalgic Hong Kong elements, precious photographs, and vintage light bulbs to recreate the Peak's former glory and Hong Kong spirit. The display wall features several popular convex mirrors for selfies, and a retro television with a lens attached, allowing you to instantly become the star of the show and take a stylish selfie, experiencing the charm of old Hong Kong!
